Relationships explained -  contact us - email advice service

Contact us for free and anonymous advice

As part of the research project into this web site, we offer you a free and anonymous email advice service on relationship issues. If you would like more information on anything about relationships please email us. Choose which of the authors you would like to approach directly:

anna@sex-and-relationships.com (female)

or

rod@sex-and-relationships.com (male)

How you can use this service:

  • We assume that all names and email address that you use to write to us are in no way connected to your real name and contact details. Please set up a new email address with Yahoo or Hotmail if you want the assurance of complete anonymity. Please do not use any details such as names or work email addresses that can identify you when writing to us. Data, which is not encrypted can easily be read whilst in transit on the internet.

  • Write to us with words in the subject line like "Hello Anna" or "Hello Rod". This will help us distinguish your email from spam.

  • Please give us 4-5 days to reply to you

  • If you haven't heard from us within 1 week: Please assume our reply to you has got lost! Currently, we are answering all queries, which people send to us. However, from our follow up survey it appears that some of our replies do not arrive. Firstly, please check your spam filter. Secondly, please check my blog, I may be on holiday. Thirdly, assume we have replied, but our email got lost. PLEASE WRITE TO US AGAIN AND LET US KNOW!  I spend up to 45 minutes answering individual emails, the last thing I would want is for it not to arrive in your mail box!

  • The email advice service is a way for us to develop text for pages for the web site according to the real needs of our visitors. We may use our answers to you as the basis for a page we write for the project. However, we will never publish your query to us on our web site.

  • We're doing a piece of research based on this website and the advice service we're offering. When you use our service, we'd like to incorporate information about your use of the website into the research project. Of course all your information and data is anonymous and completely confidential. Nonetheless, if you would prefer us not to use your data in this way, please let us know in your email. Click here to read more about our research.

  • We are not medical doctors and we are not qualified to diagnose or treat illness. We are trained in psychotherapy, though only Anna is fully qualified and actually practicing full time in the field at the moment. Rod has worked with men's groups and has also undertaken a four year training in psychotherapy. We cannot accept responsibility for the outcome of our online service, nor for your mental or emotional health. If you believe you have medical problems, please consult the appropriate health care practitioner.
